Missing Children’s Day is May
25
May 25 was declared Missing Children’s
Day by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 to commemorate the
disappearance of Etan Patz. On May 25, 1979, Etan, then 6 years
old, vanished without a trace on his way to catch his school
bus, two blocks away from his home in New York. Etan was never
found.
On this day, we remember both our nation’s missing children and the families that struggle with the pain of not knowing where their loved one is or if they will ever see him or her again.
Missing Children’s Day not only symbolizes a day of remembrance for those children who have vanished from our homes, but also a day of hope.
Please join us by remembering those children who have gone missing and consider a donation to the Vanished Children’s Alliance to help us help make homecomings possible.

other special day. We'll work with you to provide support materials

Include posters/pictures of
missing children in your mailings or include a picture of a
missing child in your company's newsletter or publications. Call VCA

Participate in VCA's Vending
Program
Vending machine owners across the country
benefit from posting missing child stickers on their machines,
which generates leads and sightings. Call VCA's Vending
